Sejong City to Recruit Additional Applicants for Home Renovation Support for Low-Income Disabled Residents

To create a safe and convenient residential environment for people with disabilities, additional applicants for the 'Home Renovation Project for the Disabled' will be recruited until the 25th of this month.

According to Sejong City on July 4, the Home Renovation Project for the Disabled supports and improves the installation of convenience facilities and safety devices in homes where people with disabilities reside. The project was established to enhance mobility safety and convenience for people with disabilities. This year, a total of 11 households are planned to receive support. However, after the initial recruitment in February, only 5 households were selected, resulting in a shortfall.

Therefore, additional recruitment is being conducted.

The additional recruitment targets a total of 6 households. Each household can receive support for the installation of convenience facilities for people with disabilities, such as entrance ramps, handrails, and lowered door thresholds, with an average of 3.8 million won and up to 5.7 million won per household. Eligible applicants are registered persons with disabilities residing in Sejong City whose total household income is less than or equal to the previous year's city worker household monthly average income. Both homeowners and tenants are eligible to apply.

Those who have received similar home renovation support from the national or local government, or public institutions within the past three years, are excluded from eligibility. Applications can be submitted at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Haengboknurimteo offices, and the final recipients will be selected according to priority criteria.
