On July 3, the Chungnam Provincial Office of Education held the "2025 Student Customized Integrated Support Regional Administrator Capacity Building Training" at the main auditorium of the Provincial Education Training Institute in Gongju. The event was attended by about 1,500 participants, including school principals, head teachers in charge, heads of departments at the education support offices, and team leaders from across the province.
According to the Provincial Office of Education, the purpose of this administrator capacity building training is to enhance administrators' understanding of the "2025 Student Customized Integrated Support" initiative and to strengthen leadership skills that will enable effective implementation of the project in schools.
The training program on this day focused on several key areas: guidance on establishing the 2025 Student Customized Integrated Support system, special lectures by regional expert instructors, and sharing of best practices from leading schools implementing the student customized integrated support system. The program emphasized not only the establishment of customized integrated support systems at individual schools, but also the improvement of administrators' leadership to foster a culture of communication and collaboration within organizations.
The Provincial Office of Education announced that, starting with the capacity building training for the first region held at the Education Training Institute on this day, similar training sessions will be conducted sequentially in three additional regions.
The student customized integrated support system is a project being promoted as a national policy task since 2022. The aim is to move away from fragmented support systems within departments and to provide student-centered, customized integrated support through interdepartmental linkage and cooperation. This is intended to address gaps in educational welfare and to promote the holistic growth of students.
The student customized integrated support project is being prepared for full implementation in all educational institutions starting in March next year, in accordance with the "Student Customized Integrated Support Act," which was enacted and promulgated on January 21.
Kim Ji-cheol, Superintendent of Chungnam Education, stated, "The student customized integrated support project is at the core of creating a new school culture where all students can equally enjoy learning and growth, especially as the number of students with complex issues increases in today's educational environment. For this reason, the leadership and practical commitment of administrators at all levels of schools and institutions are more important than ever, and I hope this training will serve as a meaningful starting point for the practical establishment of a student-centered support system."
