Operation of Public-Private-Government TF Task Force
Infrastructure Development and Civil Complaints Management
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is launching a task force (TF) to ensure the smooth development of the Bongdam 3 District and Jin'an District.
On July 3, Hwaseong City announced that it has formed and begun operating the "Sectoral Strategic Conference TF Task Force" to advance the Phase 3 New Town projects, including Bongdam 3 and Jin'an Districts.
The task force is led by the city's Director of Urban Policy and consists of a public-private-government cooperation body with flexible participation from Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), local National Assembly members, and external experts.
The task force will establish working-level teams for each sector, such as roads and transportation, culture and parks, and environment and safety, to comprehensively manage key infrastructure throughout the entire process from district planning to project completion.
In particular, the task force plans to hold regular strategic meetings and, whenever issues arise, convene ad hoc meetings of the relevant working-level teams. This approach is intended to proactively identify problems that may occur during the project and seek solutions in advance.
Lee Sanggil, Director of Urban Policy for Hwaseong City, stated, "Through the operation of the task force, we aim to improve the quality of life for citizens and realize our vision of a cultural city." He added, "We will enhance administrative reliability through proactive responses and ensure the smooth progress of the new town projects."
