On July 3, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it will conduct a focused crackdown on disorderly motorcycle driving, following a guidance period during July and August, with intensive enforcement beginning in September.

During the guidance period, all available resources, including the Traffic Mobile Unit and the Urban Expressway Patrol Unit, will be mobilized to conduct campaigns to eradicate disorderly motorcycle driving at major intersections such as Gwanghwamun Station and Gangnam Station Intersection. The police also plan to install 'Motorcycle Signal Violation Eradication Banners' at 11 locations in Seoul to encourage reporting. After the guidance period ends, enforcement will be intensified in earnest.

In addition, the police will continue to crack down on the five major types of reckless driving, including illegal U-turns and violations of bus-only lanes.

A police official stated, "We will collaborate with local governments and public agencies to improve traffic facilities on roads with frequent violations to encourage compliance with traffic laws. We will also strengthen enforcement by introducing new enforcement equipment."
