Public Demand Survey to Enhance Usability of Forestry Public Data

The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on July 3 that it will conduct a public demand survey to enhance the usability of public data in the forestry sector.

The demand survey will be conducted until July 18, with the aim of improving forest welfare services by reflecting public opinion, as well as realizing social and economic value by promoting private entrepreneurship and research and development.

Participation is available online through the Korea Forest Welfare Institute website, the Public Data Portal, and private social media channels. The Korea Forest Welfare Institute will provide a mobile gift certificate worth 10,000 won to 100 participants selected through a screening process among those who take part in the survey.

The results of the survey will be reviewed by the institute's internal Data Management Committee and will be used to open new data sets on the National Data Portal and to improve the convenience of data utilization.

Nam Taeheon, President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, stated, "This survey is being conducted to provide customized data that reflects actual demand through communication with the public," and added, "We encourage the participation of citizens, companies, and research institutions who are interested in forestry data or wish to utilize it."
