Ten Citizen Gardens and Six Little Gardens to Be Selected
The "13th Gyeonggi Garden Culture Expo 2025" aims to popularize garden culture and revitalize the garden industry. The event is scheduled to take place over four days, from October 16 to 19, 2025, at the Pyeongtaek Agricultural Ecological Park.
Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province, is accepting applications for the Citizen Garden and Little Garden (Children's Garden) contests for the upcoming "13th Gyeonggi Garden Culture Expo" until July 31.
The contests are open for "Citizen Gardens" and "Little Gardens," designed to realize a "participatory garden culture" where citizens directly plan and create gardens.
For the Citizen Garden category, ten gardens of 2m x 2m size will be selected. The theme is "Pyeongtaek's Garden, Embracing Autumn." Each selected entry will receive a grant of 1 million won.
The Little Garden category, themed "Our Family's Garden," will select six gardens of 2m x 1.5m size. This participatory program is open to families with elementary school children. Each selected entry will receive a grant of 600,000 won.
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Garden Culture Expo is scheduled to be held from October 16 to 19, 2025, for four days at the Pyeongtaek Agricultural Ecological Park, with the goal of popularizing garden culture and revitalizing the garden industry.
Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jangsun said, "The diverse sensibilities and imaginations of citizens regarding gardens will make the expo even richer."
