Ansan City to Support Smart Factory Supply and Expansion for 18 Companies

This project, carried out by Gyeonggi Technopark, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and promote their digital transformation. Previously, in June, the city selected 18 companies as participants in the project.

Through this initiative, the city will provide support for building smart factories and offer specialized consulting services. The project assists with the introduction of automation equipment and process management systems at the basic level of smart factories. Up to 70% of the total project cost will be subsidized, with a maximum of 50 million KRW per company.

Each company will also receive specialized consulting throughout the entire process of building a smart factory, including establishing factory construction plans and resolving difficulties encountered during system implementation.

Kim Woonhak, Director of the Ansan City Industrial Support Headquarters, stated, "We will ensure the smooth implementation of this project to support the digital transformation and manufacturing competitiveness of local companies," adding, "We will continue to provide various forms of support for the digital innovation of the manufacturing sector in the future."
