Good People, an international relief and development NGO (President Kim Cheonsu), announced on the 3rd that hy (CEO Byun Kyunggu) has donated 22,750,000 KRW as part of the 'Good Consumption, Good Brand' campaign to support children from vulnerable groups both in Korea and abroad.
Good People and hy are conducting the 'Good Consumption, Good Brand' campaign, in which a portion of the sales proceeds from hy's flagship products is donated so that consumers can easily participate in sharing by purchasing products.
hy accumulated a total of 22,750,000 KRW in welfare funds by selling 10 million bottles of four types of its 'Will' brand, which incorporates the company's proprietary research and technology, and 2.5 million bottles of the sugar-free fermented milk 'Yakult XO.'
Good People plans to use the donations to support medical expenses for four children in Korea suffering from rare gastrointestinal diseases and cancer, as well as to help children in Africa who are struggling due to a lack of essential nutrients.
This campaign will continue until the end of the year, and anyone can participate by purchasing the four types of Will brand products and Yakult XO.
Good People and hy will continue to carry out projects for children from marginalized groups both in Korea and abroad by utilizing the additional accumulated funds as the campaign progresses.
In addition, the two organizations plan to continue their partnership in social contribution by jointly conducting a separate campaign to help vulnerable groups during Good People's 'Hero Race' charity marathon, which will be held in four regions nationwide in the second half of the year.
