Woongjin Thinkbig announced on July 3 that its children's publishing brand, Woongjin Junior, will hold the 'Woongjin Junior 2025 Summer Vacation Online Teacher Training' on August 5.
This online teacher training program offers lectures on reading education for teachers, librarians, other educational institution staff, and parents.
This training consists of a total of three expert lectures.
In the first session, Lim Sook, director of the Clear Forest Child and Adolescent Counseling Center, will introduce methods for conducting picture book classes that care for children's emotions, under the theme of 'Picture Book Therapy.' In the second session, Kim Sungkyu, an active elementary school teacher and author, will share know-how on differentiated reading classes using fairy tale books. The third session will feature author Kim Cheongyeon, who will provide education on how children can identify reliable information in media.
Registration is available on the Woongjin Junior website until July 27. The course fee is 40,000 KRW, and all participants will receive two representative books from Woongjin Junior.
A Woongjin Thinkbig representative stated, "This training is composed of content that will be genuinely helpful to teachers and reading education professionals who teach children," and added, "We hope participants will gain insights that can be immediately applied both in the classroom and at home."
