Former 1st Marine Division Commander Lim Sungkeun appeared as a suspect at the Special Prosecutor's Office for Fallen Marines, located at Seocho Hansem Building in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on July 2, 2025. On this day, the special prosecutor officially launched the investigation with an opening ceremony and summoned Lim, a key suspect, for questioning on the very first day.
