Gwangju Employers Federation's 'Youth Job Leap Incentive Program' Contributes to Hospital and Clinic Employment

The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on July 2, 2025, that the 2025 Youth Job Leap Incentive Program is contributing to reducing labor costs for hospitals and clinics and revitalizing youth employment when hiring new staff.


This program provides support of up to 600,000 won per person per month, up to a maximum of 7.2 million won per year, within the limit of 100% of the standard number of insured employees, when hiring young people as new employees. The eligibility criteria require hiring full-time employees aged 15 to 34 as of the date of employment, working at least 28 hours per week, earning at least the minimum wage, and meeting at least one type of employment difficulty.


Types of employment difficulties include being unemployed for four months or longer, having a high school diploma or less, participating in the National Employment Support Program, being a first-time employee after completing the Miraenaeil Work Experience or Work-Study Parallel Program, or having less than one year of employment insurance coverage after graduating from the last school attended.


Hospitals and clinics excluded from corporate support are national hospitals and national university hospitals that receive endowments and subsidies, as well as large university hospitals and general hospitals.


Yang Jinseok, Chairman, stated, "The Youth Job Leap Incentive Program aims to promote youth employment by supporting companies in expanding youth hiring and facilitating the employment of young people facing difficulties in finding jobs."
