Korea Investment & Securities is strengthening its strategic partnership with the global asset management firm Capital Group to supply financial products in the domestic market. With this, Korea Investment & Securities has secured Capital Group as a collaborative partner, in addition to its existing strategic alliances with Goldman Sachs, Carlyle Group, Man Group, and AllianceBernstein.
According to Korea Investment & Securities on July 2, the strategic consultation held on July 1 was attended in person by Mike Gitlin, CEO of Capital Group, who visited Korea to review key issues in the domestic market. The meeting also served as an opportunity to share investment directions and business plans for the launch of new public income-type products in the second half of the year. The two companies reportedly exchanged ideas for mutual synergy by presenting successful cases of collaboration with leading overseas asset management firms.

Founded in the United States with a 95-year history, Capital Group is a global asset management company specializing in traditional assets such as stocks and bonds, and currently manages a total of $2.8 trillion (approximately 3,795 trillion KRW) in assets. CEO Gitlin has extensive experience in global asset management and sales, having served as Head of Fixed Income at T. Rowe Price, Head of U.S. Equity Sales and Head of Asia-Pacific Equity Trading at Citigroup, and Head of Asia-Pacific Trading at Credit Suisse.
