Fell Slightly Short of Season 2's Debut Week Record

Season 3 of "Squid Game" became the most-watched show on Netflix during its debut week. The series was released on June 27.

The number of views, calculated by dividing total viewing hours by the show's total runtime, reached 60.1 million. This is the highest figure not only in the non-English TV show category but also when compared to all English-language TV shows and both English and non-English films.

By country, the show ranked first in 93 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. However, in terms of debut week views, it fell slightly short of the all-time record set by "Squid Game" Season 2, which had 68 million views. On a weekly basis, it recorded the third-highest number of views, following the second week of "Squid Game" Season 1 (69.8 million views) and the first week of Season 2.

With the conclusion of the "Squid Game" series, both Season 1 and Season 2 have seen a resurgence in viewership. Last week, they re-entered the non-English TV show rankings at sixth place (1.7 million views) and third place (2.8 million views), respectively.
