From 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. on that day, a special coffee truck event was held in the outdoor parking lot of the temporary district office, providing all employees with complimentary cold beverages and coffee to help them cool down and start their day refreshed. Employees enjoyed brief moments of relaxation and conversation with colleagues in front of the coffee truck before starting work. This event served as a warm occasion for communication in celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the 8th civilian administration and as an opportunity to boost employee morale.

In the afternoon, an employee assembly was held at the Daesin Hall in the Kyobo Life Insurance building. Employees watched a special commemorative video utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to reflect on past achievements and efforts, while Jung Moonhun, Mayor of Jongno District, delivered a commemorative address outlining the district’s future vision and goals.

Jongno District recorded a 96.3% achievement rate in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) performance evaluation for the first half of the year and awarded bonuses to all employees to boost morale. The bonuses were graded as Jongno Modern, Jongno Ullim, and Jongno Yeollim, and were distributed differentially according to the number of employees in each department.

This evaluation covered 169 major projects across 41 departments. Five projects, including “Discovering and Promoting Community Communication Projects,” and “Conducting Collection Activities through License Plate Seizure,” achieved their annual targets ahead of schedule. A total of 149 projects are progressing as planned, having achieved more than 80% of their first-half targets.

In addition, to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the 8th civilian administration, Jongno District published a white paper summarizing its major projects and policies. The white paper features a variety of initiatives aimed at improving residents’ quality of life, such as urban management balancing preservation and development, welfare services closely tied to daily life, and the strengthening of local safety nets. Notable projects include the establishment of the Jongno Welfare Foundation, expansion of public parking lots, designation of Bukchon as a special management area, creation of the Jongno Dullegil trail, installation of Jongno 119 emergency bells, operation of care taxis for the elderly, the Health-Irang service, and the opening of the Yeonji Water Playground.

Mayor Jung Moonhun stated, “We will continue to work together with all members and residents to ensure that living in Jongno adds greater value and meaning to life. Building on our past efforts and achievements, we will prepare for another future for Jongno.”
