On July 2, Shinsegae Food announced that, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, it has implemented on-site management practices to create a safe working environment, which is the company’s core management policy.
Shinsegae Food stated, "We will prioritize strengthening on-site safety and creating a pleasant working environment as our top management policy," and explained, "To make the 30th anniversary even more meaningful, instead of holding a ceremony at the headquarters, the CEO visited the site to communicate directly with employees."
Recently, Shinsegae Food has strengthened safety accident prevention measures at all its production facilities, including Osan Factory, Seongsu Factory, Icheon Factory, Cheonan Factory, Eumseong Factory, and Chuncheon Factory. These measures include the introduction of interlock devices for hazardous equipment, inspections of emergency stop devices, and the implementation of a new 'LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)' lock system, which blocks machines with potential issues and ensures they cannot be restarted until repairs are completed.
In addition, to improve employees’ ability to respond in emergencies, the company regularly conducts training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of automated external defibrillators (AED), fire evacuation drills, and training on the use of firefighting equipment. Shinsegae Food plans to continue these preventive activities to strengthen on-site safety and to carry out improvement activities for a pleasant working environment as part of its management policy.
Separately from the on-site inspection, CEO Kang presented awards to three individuals, including an employee and a partner company staff member, who recently saved a colleague suffering from a myocardial infarction at the Osan Factory using CPR. He also urged all employees to continue to pay close attention to preventing safety accidents.
