On July 2, Gwangju and the Jeonnam region are expected to experience hot weather with occasional clouds.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the area will be on the edge of a high-pressure system located over the southern seas of Japan. Morning low temperatures will range from 23 to 25 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will rise to between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius.
Wave heights in the seas off the west and south coasts are expected to reach up to 0.5 meters, and the concentration of ultrafine dust is expected to remain at a 'good' level.
An official from the Meteorological Administration advised, "There is a high risk of heat-related illnesses, so please refrain from outdoor activities and outings, and manage food thoroughly to prevent food poisoning."
