Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam recently attended the launch ceremony of the K-Beauty Experts Association Gyeongnam Changwon Branch, held at the Changwon Convention Center, to celebrate the advancement of the local beauty industry.
The launch ceremony, which took place on June 28, was attended by more than 100 people, including Cho Myeongrae, the Second Vice Mayor of Changwon City; Kim Minji, the head of the K-Beauty Experts Association Gyeongnam Changwon Branch; Chang Rongzhen, President of Taiwan CBC (China International Beauty Institute Certification); beauty experts; beauty-related companies; and professors from beauty colleges.
The establishment of the K-Beauty Experts Association Gyeongnam Changwon Branch highlights the growth potential of the Changwon area. Beauty professionals plan to collaborate in various fields, including technology exchange, educational programs, startup support, the revitalization of the K-beauty industry, and its globalization.
Second Vice Mayor Cho Myeongrae stated, "The beauty industry is not just a service sector, but a high value-added industry that integrates culture, technology, and business, and it is being recognized as a new growth engine. I hope that, with this launch ceremony as a starting point, Changwon's beauty industry will become more systematically organized and develop global competitiveness."
