The university assigned faculty members from the Department of Public Administration to oversee the Public Talent Development Program, conducting classes through a close-knit tutoring approach.
The main curriculum included Smart Black problem analysis, policy proposal and discussion utilizing students' majors, and exploration of convergent career paths in law and public administration. The program combined academic knowledge with practical skills.
Outstanding participants received scholarships, and collaboration with the Center for Educational Achievement provided extracurricular units, further enhancing students' learning outcomes and engagement.
Oh Heewon, a student in the Department of Public Administration and representative of the graduates, said, "Participating in the Public Talent Development Program allowed me to recognize the social importance of Smart Black issues. Above all, the curriculum that enabled me to apply my major in practice became an opportunity to reflect more deeply on my career path."
Kwon Kisuk, head of the HUSS Research Institute at Hanbat National University, stated, "Strengthening Smart Black problem-solving competency and expanding major-related connections are essential tasks required in a risk society. We plan to continue offering high-quality educational programs like the Public Talent Development Program every semester."
