The Department of Social Welfare Counseling at Daegu Cyber University and the Ulleung County Family Center signed a "Business Agreement to Improve Local Family Welfare and Strengthen Counseling Expertise" on the 28th at the Ulleung County Family Center Education Center.

This agreement was established to provide more practical and specialized counseling and educational services, reflecting the geographical uniqueness of Ulleungdo and the welfare needs of residents in island regions.
In particular, under the shared goal of addressing educational and welfare blind spots and strengthening the local counseling infrastructure, the two institutions plan to build a sustainable system of cooperation.
The main contents of the agreement include: ▲ joint development and operation of training programs ▲ joint research and academic exchange in the fields of counseling and welfare ▲ expanding opportunities for Daegu Cyber University students to intern in Ulleung and mutual utilization of educational facilities ▲ promotion of both online and offline education and exchanges.
Park Sangil, Director of the Ulleung County Family Center, stated, "As local residents' interest in and demand for welfare services continue to grow, this agreement will serve as an opportunity to expand the much-needed counseling infrastructure in the Ulleung community."
Song Yumi, Head of the Department of Social Welfare Counseling, said, "This agreement goes beyond a simple partnership; it is significant in that it has created a practical field for training and education that can truly contribute to welfare sites in island regions. Based on the educational philosophy of the Department of Social Welfare Counseling, we will continue to discover various cooperative measures for mutual growth with the local community."
Daegu Cyber University is accepting applications for new and transfer students for the second semester of the 2025 academic year until the 16th.
