On July 1, Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jung Chulwon) held its July regular assembly in the Myeonangjeong Room at the county office, attended by over 160 public officials.

During the assembly, the following events took place: the presentation of certificates to the best public officials of the first half of the year; awards for outstanding performers in the mileage system for reducing civil complaint processing times; and commendations for departments that excelled in handling civil complaints through the National Sinmungo system.

Additionally, Lee Jungguk, who assumed office as the 28th Deputy Governor on this day, took time to greet the public officials. The inauguration greetings of Jeong Seongyo, the new chairman of the 10th Damyang County Public Officials Labor Union, as well as vice chairmen Lee Changseon and Hwang Minseon, were also held, marking a new beginning for strengthened labor-management cooperation.

In his remarks, Governor Jung Chulwon stated, "Today marks both the beginning of the second half of the year and a turning point for a fresh start," and expressed his gratitude to all employees for their dedicated service in their respective roles during the first half of the year.

He continued, "'Conversations with residents, visiting villages' is an important communication initiative that brings the administration closer to the lives of the people," and requested that everyone continue to do their best for the remainder of the schedule. He also instructed proactive responses to natural disasters in the summer, such as heavy rains and heat waves, and called for efforts to establish measures to protect vulnerable groups.

Governor Jung urged, "Please actively identify and implement practical, daily-life policies that residents can truly feel, and begin systematic preparations now to secure national funding for next year."
