Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 1st that it completed the widening and paving project of the rural road between Dopil and Songmal in Baeksa-myeon and opened the road to traffic on June 30.

The completed road is 10 meters wide and 1.0 kilometers long, with a total construction cost of 7.2 billion KRW. The design included a lane for agricultural machinery to improve farming conditions. The city expects that the opening of the road will improve local traffic conditions, including better access to the expressway between Seongnam and Janghowon.
Mayor Kyunghee Kim of Icheon said, "With the opening of this road, travel time between regions will be reduced and it will contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We will continue our efforts to improve the local transportation network in the future."
