As of July 1, the Chungnam Provincial Council promoted and appointed the General Affairs Officer (currently Grade 4) to the position of Grade 3 Deputy Director.


According to the council, this Grade 3 promotion marks a turning point that symbolizes the elevation of the council's status and role within the organization since the independence of personnel authority for local councils.


In particular, this decision is seen as a recognition of the significant contributions made by the General Affairs Officer, who has played a central role in the council's Secretariat. It is expected that this will further accelerate the establishment of a stable support system for legislative activities.


Jeong Jeseok, the General Affairs Officer, has worked in the council's Secretariat for about 19 years, holding various key positions. He is recognized for his extensive experience and expertise, to the extent that he is referred to as a "living legend of the council." Currently, as General Affairs Officer, he plays a pivotal role across the Secretariat, overseeing general affairs, personnel, organizational, and building management. He is especially credited with greatly contributing to enhancing the organization's efficiency and substance.


Chairman Hong Seonghyeon stated, "This promotion fairly reflects the dedicated efforts and expertise demonstrated within the organization," and added, "We will continue to do our utmost in personnel management so that the provincial council can establish itself as a leading organization that drives change and responsibility."
