[Breaking] Prosecutor General Shim Woojung Announces Resignation

Prosecutor General Shim Woojung has abruptly expressed his intention to resign. With frontline chief prosecutors resigning one after another and now the Prosecutor General himself announcing his intention to step down, confusion within the prosecution is expected to intensify.

According to the prosecution, Shim is scheduled to release an official statement at around 3 p.m. on July 1. His retirement ceremony will be held on July 2.
