At the Supreme Council meeting of the Democratic Party held at the National Assembly in Yeouido on July 1, Jin announced, "To maximize the effect of the supplementary budget, we will pursue increases based on the following review principles."

First, Jin emphasized, "The livelihood recovery consumption coupons will be provided universally to all citizens, while maintaining the principle of offering more substantial support to those facing greater difficulties. To this end, we will further expand support for residents in non-metropolitan areas and regions at risk of population decline in rural and fishing communities."

He continued, "We will further alleviate the fiscal burden on local governments, which have been experiencing a revenue shortfall for the third consecutive year. To achieve this, we will lower the local government matching ratio for the livelihood recovery consumption coupons compared to the current level."

He also stated, "We will make every effort to reflect the demands from the frontlines, including raising the unit price for infant and toddler care fees, expanding support for individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting eco-friendly vehicles, and subsidizing salaries for school arts and physical education instructors."

He added, "The Democratic Party will proceed with the review process with the goal of passing the supplementary budget bill at the National Assembly plenary session on July 3. We also ask the People Power Party to keep in mind that presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo pledged to begin discussions on a 30 trillion won livelihood supplementary budget on the afternoon of his inauguration day."

Meanwhile, Jin also expressed his intention to process the confirmation of the Prime Minister and the amendment to the Commercial Act at the upcoming plenary session on July 3.
