Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital announced on the 1st that it will expand the 24-hour service of its Pediatric Emergency Medical Center to every Wednesday and Saturday starting this month.

According to the hospital, adult emergency care has been operating normally 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However, the Pediatric Emergency Medical Center has been forced to limit its night service (from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. the following day) since March due to a series of resignations by specialists.

Recently, with the addition of one more medical staff member, the hospital plans to expand 24-hour service to every Wednesday and Saturday starting from the 2nd. As a result, the Pediatric Emergency Medical Center will continue to provide daytime care from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, while offering 24-hour care on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

A hospital official stated, "We will continue to recruit additional specialists for the Pediatric Emergency Medical Center to alleviate the anxiety and inconvenience of residents in Sejong and nearby areas. We are committed to restoring a 24-hour, 365-day normal operation system as soon as possible."
