Creation of a Premium Mall Featuring the Shinsegae Brand
Direct Connection to Resident Amenity Facilities
Commercial Space Planned and Developed Directly by Shinsegae
Shinsegae will introduce a premium retail space that it has directly planned and developed at "The Parkside Seoul," which is being constructed on the site of the United Nations Command (UNC) in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
On July 1, Eleven Construction announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shinsegae to develop a premium retail area. Shinsegae Department Store will be directly responsible for planning and developing all commercial facilities within the complex.
Under this agreement, Shinsegae Department Store will develop a total of 16,470 square meters of commercial space, spanning from the first basement level to the fourth floor above ground within "The Parkside Seoul" complex, through a comprehensive management partnership.
The space will feature upscale F&B (food and beverage) options, premium lifestyle brands, cultural content, and international galleries. It will be unveiled as a new premium retail brand incorporating the Shinsegae brand. The aim is to position the retail area not merely as a convenience facility, but as a core value of luxury residential living, realizing an "urban premium retail" concept within the complex.

This area will connect to the first basement level of The Parkside Suite’s amenity, "The Parkside Club by Rosewood Seoul," which is operated directly by Rosewood Hotel. It will serve as an urban, integrated lifestyle hub where residential, retail, and cultural elements are organically combined.
An official from Eleven Construction stated, "Our strategic collaboration with Shinsegae symbolizes that 'The Parkside Seoul' is a project that delivers a world-class lifestyle, extending beyond the heart of Seoul," adding, "The retail space will serve not just as a commercial facility, but as an anchor that leads urban daily life and culture."
"The Parkside Seoul" is a mixed-use development (MXD) project in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, featuring residential units, a hotel, retail, cultural, and office spaces across 11 buildings ranging from seven basement levels to 20 floors above ground. The high-end officetel "The Parkside Suite" will offer 775 units ranging from 53 to 185 square meters of exclusive area, with sales launching later this month.
Global hotel brand Rosewood Hotel & Resorts will make its debut in Korea through The Parkside Seoul. "Rosewood Seoul" is scheduled to open in 2027. In addition, world-renowned design, landscaping, and lighting groups such as KPF, Conran and Partners, JCFO, Space Copenhagen, and Dotdash are participating in the project.
