On July 1, Hanjin announced that Johan Min Cho, President, and Samseok Noh, CEO, visited the Daejeon Mega Hub Terminal together on June 25 to inspect the site.
They focused on inspecting the newly expanded, state-of-the-art heating and cooling facilities. They thoroughly checked the operation status of the equipment, the range of cooling coverage, and the maintenance system. They also listened directly to on-site employees to hear about their satisfaction levels and suggestions for improvement.
Recently, Hanjin invested approximately 10 billion KRW to introduce new heating and cooling systems. These systems are designed to provide concentrated cooling in areas where on-site personnel are deployed and feature a structure that allows for expansion as working environments change.
Employee satisfaction with the improved environment has also proven to be high. One worker at the Daejeon Mega Hub commented, "Not only is the cargo compartment where I work much cooler, but I can also feel the refreshing air throughout the terminal, making work much more comfortable."
Hanjin expects that the expansion of these facilities will reduce worker fatigue and improve both concentration and efficiency. A Hanjin representative stated, "We are making company-wide efforts to create a safe and pleasant work environment centered on our employees, and we plan to actively implement various improvement measures going forward."
