Yeoju Urban Corporation in Gyeonggi Province announced on June 30 that it will open the Geumeunmorae Camping Site Children's Water Playground free of charge starting July 2, allowing campers and Yeoju residents to enjoy themselves and beat the summer heat.

The Geumeunmorae Camping Site, which has gained even more popularity after being selected as a family-friendly public camping site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, will operate the children's water playground daily from July 2 to August 31, except on Tuesdays when the camping site is closed.
However, as the water playground is outdoors, it may be temporarily closed if it is deemed unsafe to operate due to weather conditions such as strong winds or rain. The playground will be open in the morning from 10:00 AM to 11:50 AM and in the afternoon from 1:00 PM to 4:50 PM. The facility will be unavailable from 11:50 AM to 1:00 PM for drainage and cleaning. Admission to the children's water playground is free, but parking costs 2,000 KRW per day.
Meanwhile, the children's water playground, which has been operated by the corporation for nine years, prioritizes safety as its main users are children. To date, there have been no safety accidents, and this year, safety personnel with legally required qualifications will be assigned to prepare for emergencies.
In addition, to ensure strict water quality management, only 100% tap water will be supplied to the playground, with the water replaced daily. Regular water quality inspections by external professional agencies will also be conducted to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
President Lim Myungjin of the corporation stated, "We hope that the Geumeunmorae Camping Site Children's Water Playground and the O-Hak Water Playground, provided by Yeoju Urban Corporation, will be of some help to citizens and campers during the hot summer." He added, "We will continue to strive to provide services that satisfy both Yeoju residents and visitors."
