The Gwangju University RISE Project Group K-Culture Leading Center announced on the 30th that it recently held the "1st Governance Council," which was composed of experts from local government, industry, academia, and research institutes for the development of Gwangju's culture, arts, and tourism sectors.
The "Governance Council" consists of experts from nine organizations: the Gwangju University RISE Project Group K-Culture Leading Center, the National Asia Culture Center, the Gwangju Design Center, the Gwangju Museum of Art, the Gwangju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, Gwangju Nam-gu Office, Witches Co., Ltd., Indigo Co., Ltd., and Imagecraft.
On this day, the council discussed cooperation measures for linking and supporting operations between the university, related organizations, and industries, with the aim of developing cultural, artistic, and tourism programs in Gwangju and nurturing talent.
Noh Sunshik, head of the RISE Project Group, said, "This council meeting was a valuable opportunity to build consensus on establishing a sustainable cooperation model between the university, related organizations, and industries," adding, "Based on this, we will work to prepare action plans for sharing human and material resources and for practical collaboration."
