The Gijang-eup Administrative Welfare Center held the "I Live Well Alone!" cooking experience program for 20 single-person households over two days, on the 17th and 19th of June.
Participants, under the guidance of a professional cooking academy instructor, made Dakgalbi and pork Jjageuli themselves, naturally spending time communicating with one another.
This program was designed to reduce the emotional isolation of single-person households and to foster a sense of community through group activities.
Lee Sang-sik, head of Gijang-eup, said, "I hope that this gathering, where we come together with the mindset of 'not alone, but together,' becomes a source of warm comfort and fond memories," and added, "We will continue to steadily promote projects that bring vitality to the daily lives of single-person households."
Gijang-eup plans to continue this initiative in September with a hands-on experience making natural body care products.
