"Shall We Travel Abroad to Busan?"... Paradise Hotel Busan Launches 'Exotic Atmosphere' Marketing

Enjoying "Dupe Travel" This Summer
Experience Overseas Vibes in Busan

Are you familiar with 'Dupe' travel?

As the summer vacation season approaches, with burdens from high exchange rates and high oil prices, 'Dupe consumption (Do You Fake?)' has emerged as a new travel trend. Originally, 'Dupe' is an abbreviation of 'Duplication,' referring to alternatives that are similar to popular high-end products but offered at more reasonable prices. This concept of 'Dupe,' which originally meant budget travel, is now evolving into the idea of traveling abroad within Korea.

As content that allows people to enjoy exotic atmospheres within Korea instead of traveling overseas gains attention, the hotel industry is also introducing differentiated services in line with this trend. The hotel has emphasized the marketing concept of 'Let's travel abroad to Busan.'

Paradise Hotel Busan has leveraged its geographical advantage adjacent to Haeundae Beach to significantly enhance spaces and experiential content with an exotic flair.

From an outdoor lounge inspired by Bali, to kids' content created in collaboration with global characters, and even premium 'alcohol-cation' experiences on ocean-view terraces, the hotel is offering a variety of summer season products.

The hotel's main building outdoor garden features a Bali-themed 'The Beach Lounge' that is open year-round. At 'The Beach Lounge,' guests can enjoy gourmet food and music with an ocean view in a space inspired by Bali beaches. Signature exotic drinks such as 'Whole Pineapple Juice,' 'Coconut Mango Juice,' and tropical fruit ades are served, along with special dishes prepared by hotel chefs, including tacos, satay, seafood skewers, cheese platters, and a variety of alcoholic beverages.

There is also globally popular animation collaboration content for families traveling with children. Paradise Hotel Busan has partnered with Nickelodeon's animated series 'SpongeBob SquarePants' to transform various areas of the hotel into spaces inspired by the underwater city of 'Bikini City' and will offer a variety of experiential programs from July 1 to October 31.

Two types of 'SpongeBob Room Packages' are available. The 'Kids Paradise with SpongeBob' package includes a complimentary 'SpongeBob & Patrick Plush Keyring' and a free rental of a kids-only tent, while the 'Summer Vacation with SpongeBob' package comes with a 'SpongeBob Power Bank.'

The ocean spa 'Seamer' is operated as a SpongeBob-themed space, and a photo zone has been set up in the lobby on the first floor of the new building. In the 'Kids Village' on the first basement floor, kids' one-day classes are held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, such as 'SpongeBob & Patrick Soap Making' (July-August) and 'Cookie Making' (September-October). In addition, guests can enjoy activities like the 'SpongeBob Krabby Patty Hammer Game' and collect 'Character Photo Cards.'

There is also a collaborative package with a global premium beer brand. The hotel is running the 'Summer Ocean Terrace with Ebisu' package with YEBISU until July 24. This package includes one night in a Deluxe Ocean Terrace room and an 'Ebisu Special Gift Set' featuring two cans of Ebisu Premium Beer and exclusive glasses.

Ebisu Beer is made from 100% malt with no additives, offering a deep and rich flavor and aroma. Guests who purchase this package can access hotel facilities such as the 'Seamer' spa and the outdoor ocean spa pool, and depending on the package type, breakfast at the buffet restaurant 'On the Plate' is also included.

On the first basement floor of the new building, there is 'Kids Village,' the largest integrated kids' experience space among hotels in Korea, covering about 1,320 square meters. This area features the 'BMW Kids Driving' zone created by BMW Group for preschoolers, the 'Play Lab' where parents and children can enjoy various games together, the 'Haba Kids Lounge' for experiencing German wooden educational toys, and the 'Woongjin Book Club' in partnership with Woongjin ThinkBig, all of which are available year-round.
