New Administration to Launch "Everyone's Plaza by Bus" Nationwide Tour in July Yonhap News

The Presidential National Policy Planning Committee will operate the "Everyone's Plaza by Bus," a mobile program that travels across the country throughout July to receive on-site civil complaints and policy proposals.

This on-site tour will begin in the Gangwon region during the first week of July, followed by sequential visits to the Chungcheong, Gyeongsang, and Honam regions. Consultations and submissions will take place at accessible city government offices in each region. Consultations will be held every week from Tuesday to Thursday.

The National Policy Planning Committee aims to use this program to directly listen to the voices of citizens who have difficulty accessing online platforms and to collect proposals from the field regarding people's livelihoods. In particular, the committee plans to visit areas affected by natural disasters such as wildfires and floods, as well as to identify and seek solutions for long-standing unresolved civil complaints and cases of local public conflict.

At each site, professional investigators will consult with citizens regarding their complaints, and issues that can be resolved immediately will be handled on the spot. For matters that cannot be addressed right away, the committee will coordinate with relevant ministries to find solutions. Policy proposals received will be reviewed for feasibility, and the committee is also considering reflecting them in national policy tasks.

The departure ceremony was attended by Lee Hanju, Chairperson of the National Policy Planning Committee; Shin Pilgyun, Chairperson of the National Sovereignty Committee; and Cho Seungrae, Spokesperson and Standing Committee Chairperson, along with other committee officials. Chairperson Lee stated, "We will visit the field with the determination not to overlook even a single opinion."
