On June 30, World Vision, the international relief and development NGO (non-governmental organization) led by Chairman Myunghwan Cho, announced the appointment of announcer Youngju Choi as its ambassador.
The appointment ceremony took place on June 27 at World Vision’s headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, with Chairman Myunghwan Cho and announcer Youngju Choi in attendance.
Ambassador Youngju Choi has been a long-time supporter of World Vision. In 1991, together with goodwill ambassador Sungwon Park, she served as co-host of SBS's "Hope TV Giyacheheom 24," and has consistently contributed to supporting vulnerable children both domestically and internationally. She continues to identify with World Vision’s values and is currently serving as an advisor, actively participating in realizing the organization’s vision.
Youngju Choi, World Vision ambassador, shared, "Having been with World Vision for a long time, I now want to share the inspiration I have felt with even more people," and added, "I will continue to do my best to stand by marginalized children and serve as a voice for them."
Chairman Myunghwan Cho of World Vision stated, "We are pleased to appoint announcer Youngju Choi, who has quietly practiced sharing for a long time, as our ambassador, and we are deeply grateful for her commitment to the path for children. We hope that, through the ambassador’s sincere voice, the stories and messages of hope for children will be delivered even more powerfully, and we look forward to the positive changes we will create together."
