Gwangju City and the Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation announced on June 30 that they participated in the "Korea Expo in Paris 2025," held over three days from the 13th to the 15th in Paris, France, together with six local companies. They operated the Gwangju joint pavilion and achieved export consultation results totaling 4.87 million dollars.
The exhibition featured a variety of local companies, including Zerowell (air appliances such as air purifiers), Sendori (air circulators), Unicompany (thermal imaging cameras), TIP International (scalp care devices), Switchon (lighting equipment), and February Mountain (najeonchilgi mother-of-pearl jewelry boxes). These companies showcased the technological and design competitiveness of Gwangju's K-products to European consumers.
In particular, at the side event "K-Class" (a demonstration session for participating companies' products), TIP International and February Mountain directly participated in product demonstrations, allowing them to observe local consumer reactions firsthand and use the opportunity for practical market research.
During the event, three memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed, and the participating companies are continuing discussions to ensure these lead to formal export contracts. Now in its third year, the "Korea Expo in Paris" is a complex cultural export exhibition combining Korean Wave content and Korean products. This year's event featured 203 companies operating over 360 booths, and attracted 32,341 visitors.
Joo Jaehui, Director of the Economic and Startup Bureau, said, "This expo was a meaningful opportunity for local companies to explore the potential of the European market and directly assess local demand. We will continue to strengthen comprehensive support systems, including overseas marketing, so that Gwangju's technologically advanced companies can demonstrate their competitiveness in the global market."
