Gokseong County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae), announced on the 30th that it held the completion ceremony for the first Healing Agriculture Center in South Jeolla Province, with more than 100 people in attendance, including the New Vitality Plus Project Group, the Gokseong Healing Cooperative, and relevant public officials.

Healing agriculture refers to an industry aimed at restoring, maintaining, and promoting public health by utilizing various agricultural and rural resources to create social and economic added value.

The center covers an area of 630 square meters, consisting of a 230-square-meter glass greenhouse and a 400-square-meter healing garden. The interior of the glass greenhouse includes a healing rest area and a training room. The county plans to focus on establishing the center as a key institution by training professionals in healing agriculture, such as healing agriculture specialists, operating customized healing programs for different participants to promote public health, and strengthening publicity to expand the reach of healing agriculture.

Seo Yeonnam, director of the Gokseong County Agricultural Technology Center, said, "As the Healing Agriculture Center, which we have prepared for two years, is now completed, we will enhance the quality of healing agriculture services and take the lead in providing healing agriculture that residents can trust."

Meanwhile, with the completion of the Healing Agriculture Center, the county plans to further expand the program's target participants to include children, people with disabilities, and those vulnerable to stress, as well as foster healing farms and devote efforts to the spread of healing agriculture.
