Professor Kim Hyungwoo (Department of Statistics and Data Science) at Pukyong National University has received the SAS Young Statistician Paper Award from the Korean Statistical Society.
Professor Kim was recognized for his research achievements and received the award at the Korean Statistical Society Summer Academic Conference, which was recently held at The-K Hotel Gyeongju.
Professor Kim has conducted research on dimension reduction methods for high-dimensional data, and has published numerous results in internationally renowned journals (SCIE), earning recognition for excellence in this field.
Founded in 1971, the Korean Statistical Society has more than 2,000 researchers from domestic universities, research institutes, industry, and government agencies. The society conducts research on statistical theory and applications, shares research achievements with society, and leads the development of statistics in Korea.
