"Childcare Companion Support Fund" to Be Provided Starting in the Second Half of the Year
Ourhome announced on June 30 that it will implement the "Childcare Companion Support Fund" system starting in the second half of this year.
The Childcare Companion Support Fund is a program introduced this year by Hanwha's Distribution Services and Machinery divisions to help employees balance work and family life. Regardless of the number of times, employees receive 10 million won (after tax) for each childbirth, and in the case of twins or multiple births, the amount is paid in proportion to the number of newborns.
The company stated that the introduction of the Childcare Companion Support Fund is significant as it marks the first step for Hanwha and Ourhome to move forward in the same direction under a shared management philosophy and vision. The idea for the fund originated during discussions where employees shared their difficulties. Reflecting the challenges faced by employees juggling both work and childcare, Hanwha's Distribution Services division was the first to introduce the program in January of this year. Following positive effects such as increased employee morale and improved work efficiency, the program was expanded to the Machinery division in March.
Ourhome plans to expand a variety of support measures to help employees balance work and family life, taking the introduction of the Childcare Companion Support Fund as an opportunity, especially as the number of households with newborns has been increasing recently.
An Ourhome representative said, "We expect that the Childcare Companion Support Fund system will not only improve work efficiency but also enhance the childcare environment for employees, thereby contributing to the development of society and the nation as a whole," adding, "We will continue to explore various ways for the workplace and home to grow together."
