Convenient AI Features and Top-Level Security Performance
Expansion of Samsung Electronics' Proprietary Security Solution, Knox
Samsung Electronics' artificial intelligence (AI) home appliances have achieved a top-tier global security rating.
On June 30, Samsung Electronics announced that its 2025 model 'Bespoke AI Combo' all-in-one washer dryer received the highest 'Diamond' grade in the Internet of Things (IoT) security evaluation conducted by the global certification body UL Solutions. Following the 'Bespoke AI Combo' released last year, the new 2025 model has also received the 'Diamond' grade for the second consecutive year, demonstrating its strong security performance.

UL Solutions conducts rigorous testing on the hacking risks and security levels of smart home appliances and assigns ratings in five levels: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, based on the evaluation results. To receive the Diamond grade, a product must pass all 33 criteria, including detection of malicious software tampering, prevention of unauthorized access attempts, and anonymization of user data.
The 2025 'Bespoke AI Combo' is an all-in-one washer dryer with the largest drying capacity in Korea, equipped with a touchscreen and the voice assistant 'Bixby.' Samsung Electronics has applied its proprietary security solution, 'Knox,' to the Bespoke AI appliance lineup so that users can safely utilize various AI features.
This year, Samsung Electronics is expanding the application of 'Knox Matrix,' a blockchain-based security technology that allows connected devices to mutually check each other's security status, to all appliances equipped with Wi-Fi functionality. Additionally, for appliances with screens and robot vacuum cleaners, the company has added 'Knox Vault,' which securely stores sensitive personal information in a dedicated hardware security chip, to thoroughly protect users' personal data.
Kim Deokho, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Division, stated, "As the adoption of AI appliances increases, security?which is directly linked to privacy protection?is becoming a key factor in purchasing decisions for home appliances. Samsung Electronics will continue to expand AI solutions that users can trust, based on multi-layered security with Knox."
