This is the first time in 2 years and 9 months that a player has achieved back-to-back wins on the KPGA Tour since Seo Yoseop won the Bodyfriend Phantom Robo Gunsan CC Open in August 2022 and the LX Championship in September 2022. Including his victory at the Asian Tour International Series Korea held in Jeju in August 2022, Ok Taehoon now has three professional wins in total.

The final prize pool for the KPGA Gunsan CC Open is determined by adding revenue from the pro-am, gallery tickets for rounds 1 to 3, food and beverage sales, and tournament merchandise sales to the base prize fund of 700 million won. This year, the total prize pool reached 1,004,843,000 won, surpassing 1 billion won for the first time. Accordingly, the winner's prize was set at 209,686,000 won. Ok Taehoon maintained his lead in both the season prize money standings with 823.07 million won, and in the Genesis Points race, adding 1,000 points for a total of 4,940.9 points.

Lee Junghwan finished runner-up with a 6-under-par round (17-under-par 271). Shin Yonggu (Canada) placed third (16-under-par 272), and Kim Mingyu finished fourth (15-under-par 273). Park Youngkyu, who made a hole-in-one and shot 6-under-par for the day, tied for fifth with Jeon Jaehan (14-under-par 274). Kang Sunghoon tied for eighth (12-under-par 276), and Kim Hongtaek finished 11th (11-under-par 277). The KPGA Tour will now take a break after completing the first half of the season and will resume with the Dong-A Membership Group Open (total prize pool of 700 million won), which starts on August 28.
