"Dedication to the Nation Will Be Remembered Forever"... Busan Veterans Office Holds Award Ceremony for Month of National Defense and Veterans

Over 130 Exemplary National Veterans
and Distinguished Contributors Attend Ceremony

The Busan Regional Veterans Office, led by Director Lee Namil, recently held an award ceremony in the auditorium on the 7th floor of the Busan Veterans Hall to conclude the 'Month of National Defense and Veterans' in June, recognizing exemplary national veterans and distinguished contributors.

The event, held on the 27th, was attended by more than 130 people, including national veterans who dedicated themselves to the country, distinguished contributors, and their families. The ceremony proceeded in the following order: national salute, award presentation, congratulatory remarks, and commemorative photo.


This year's awardees included: one recipient of the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Award; 11 exemplary national merit awardees, including Kim Ansik, recipient of the 4·19 Democratic Revolution Award; five distinguished contributors, including Kang Jeongchil, head of Busan Briquette Bank; and one recipient each in the exemplary employment category from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. In addition, the Busan Regional Veterans Office Director's Award was given to nine individuals, including Park Junghwa, a sixth-grade disabled veteran.


The Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Appreciation Plaque was awarded to Korea Electric Power Corporation Busan-Ulsan Headquarters, Busan Gyeongnam Milk Cooperative, and Samjin Food for their contributions to promoting veterans culture.


Director Lee Namil stated, "The dedication of the awardees is a valuable asset to the nation and the community," adding, "The exemplary paths you have walked will be remembered for a long time."
