This training program is organized by the Gyeonggi branch of the Korea Early Childhood Education Administration Association and is being held at Hwaseong SINTEX over two days and one night. The event is held on a rotating basis by region, and this year, the Gyeonggi branch is conducting the program for vice principals and educational professionals (supervisors and educational researchers).
Approximately 600 vice principals and educational professionals from kindergartens nationwide attended the training. The main topics of the program include: ▲an introduction to trends in early childhood education policy, ▲exploring solutions to current issues in early childhood education, and ▲sharing information on early childhood education between regions, all with a focus on strengthening the competencies of early childhood education administrators.
Superintendent Im's attendance at the event was in response to a request for a welcoming address from the Korea Early Childhood Education Administration Association. As the superintendent of the host branch (Gyeonggi), he attended to provide guidance on the direction of early childhood education in Gyeonggi and to actively encourage the training participants.
In his welcoming remarks, Superintendent Im said, "I would like to thank all of you for your hard work, which has a significant impact on early childhood education in Korea." He added, "During this training, I hope you will share your thoughts on the different early childhood education environments in each region and have a meaningful time together."
He continued, "The implementation of the integration policy for early childhood education and care must be carried out with great precision, and a significant amount of investment is required to establish a national responsibility system." He also stated, "I will continue to discuss with superintendents across the country and listen closely to the opinions from the field as we move forward with these changes."
Superintendent Im said, "I believe that teaching children what kind of world they should live in is formed solely through your hands and within your embrace." He added, "As you provide important education to children, I encourage you to remain dedicated to your essential roles, and I, along with superintendents nationwide, will take the lead in supporting and sharing the responsibility for these efforts."
