Kim's Side: "She Is Not Unable to Respond to a Summons"

Her attorney stated, "She is scheduled to complete the discharge procedures today and will continue her treatment at home for the time being," adding, "She will faithfully comply with any legitimate summons by the special prosecutor in accordance with the law." The attorney also said, "She is not in a condition that would prevent her from responding to a summons."
Since leaving the presidential residence in Hannam-dong on April 11, Kim has remained secluded at her residence, Acro Vista in Seocho-gu. Her last public appearance was when she was seen at a polling station on the presidential election day, June 3.
Kim was then suddenly hospitalized at Asan Medical Center in Seoul on June 16 due to her chronic illness. This occurred just four days after Min Jungki, the special prosecutor tasked with investigating various allegations related to her, was appointed and began forming the investigation team.
It is reported that Kim's health deteriorated rapidly during the investigation into the 12·3 Martial Law and the impeachment of former President Yoon Sukyeol.
On this day, Special Prosecutor Min, while arriving at the temporary office set up in Seocho-gu, told reporters, "We have not yet requested Kim Geonhee to appear."
