Seongbuk District to Open 'Screen Park Golf Course' on July 1

Additional Facility to Be Established Near Seokgye Station in the Second Half of the Year

The Seongbuk Jeongneung Screen Park Golf Course, established by Seongbuk District in Seoul, will officially begin operations on July 1.

Seongbuk District to Open 'Screen Park Golf Course' on July 1

The Seongbuk Jeongneung Screen Park Golf Course is the first district-operated screen park golf facility in the northern part of Seoul. Since its trial opening on June 4, it has received a positive response from local residents. As an indoor sports facility, it is available year-round regardless of weather or season.

This facility was created by utilizing a 155-square-meter idle space, featuring three hitting bays and a community area. Up to 48 people can use the facility per day. While demand for park golf continues to grow, Seongbuk District faces a shortage of available land due to geographical constraints. As a result, indoor screen park golf facilities like this one are gaining attention as a practical alternative.

Lee Seungro, Mayor of Seongbuk District, stated, "The screen park golf course is a new type of sports facility that is easily accessible for both seniors and beginners." He added, "Starting with Jeongneung-dong, we also plan to establish an additional facility near Seokgye Station, which offers convenient transportation, in the second half of the year."

Meanwhile, reservations for the screen park golf course can be made on-site or by phone, with Seongbuk District residents given priority. For more information, please visit the Seongbuk District Office or Seongbuk Urban Management Corporation websites, or call 02-942-1202. The opening ceremony was held on June 25.
