Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Promotes Tourism via China's Largest Travel Platform Ctrip with 300 Million Members

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will conduct an online live commerce event (introducing and selling products in real time) through Ctrip, China's largest travel platform, from the 27th to the 28th. This event targets the visa-free entry for Chinese group tours scheduled for the third quarter (July to September) and the 'Golden Week' National Day holiday in October.

This live commerce broadcast will be hosted by a Ctrip show host from a temporary studio set up inside Panda World at Everland. The program, under the theme "Experience the Real Korea in Gyeonggi Province," will target Chinese consumers planning overseas trips in the second half of the year, such as summer vacations.

In particular, the event will promote K-tourism content and K-food experiences available in Gyeonggi Province. It will also introduce over 80 types of tourism experience products, including accommodations, attraction tickets, and day tours, along with discount events.

Cho Wonyong, President of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, stated, "Expectations for revitalized exchanges between the two countries are rising due to visa-free entry for Chinese group tours and the upcoming APEC summit in Gyeongju this October." He added, "We will develop and implement a variety of promotional strategies to help boost the local economy by attracting more Chinese tourists."

Ctrip, with over 300 million registered members, is the largest travel platform in China. In January of last year, it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to establish cooperation and has since been working together on marketing Gyeonggi Province in the Chinese market.
