A Total of 59 Awards Presented to Outstanding Cities, Counties, Public Officials, Private Organizations, and Individuals in Fundraising Projects

Chungnam Province expressed its gratitude to residents and organizations that have taken the lead in spreading a culture of sharing and fostering a society where people live together.
On the 26th, the province held the 'Sharing Practice Meritorious Person Award Ceremony' at the main conference room of the provincial government, with more than 100 people in attendance, including Governor Kim Taeheum, Sung Woojong, Chairman of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea, and award recipients.
The event proceeded in the order of the Honor Society induction ceremony, project introduction, and awards presentation. During the Honor Society induction ceremony, Lee Geonhui, President of the Chungnam Association for the Physically Disabled, pledged to donate over 100 million won, putting the culture of sharing into practice.
At the awards ceremony, a total of 59 commendations were presented to outstanding cities and counties in fundraising projects, public officials, private organizations, and individuals who have contributed to the improvement of community welfare and the spread of a sharing culture through active participation.
In the category of outstanding cities and counties in fundraising projects, Seocheon County was selected as the best institution for year-round fundraising, while Seosan City and Boryeong City were recognized as excellent institutions. Gongju City was named the best institution in the Hope Sharing Campaign, and Geumsan County and Taean County were recognized as excellent institutions.
In the category of meritorious public officials in sharing practice, Team Leader Choi Miyeong of Seocheon County and Officer Park Jiyoung of Gyeryong City received the Governor's Commendation.
In the organization category, the NH Nonghyup Bank Gongju Branch, Dangjin City Welfare Foundation, and six other organizations received the Governor's Commendation. In the individual category, Ko Youngjin, CEO of Booyoung Industry, Kim Gihyo, pharmacist at Jongno Pharmacy, and ten other individuals were also honored with the Governor's Commendation.
In addition, five people received the Provincial Council Chairman's Commendation, six people received the Provincial Superintendent of Education's Commendation, and twenty people received the Chairman of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea's Commendation, with expressions of gratitude delivered to all recipients.
Governor Kim Taeheum emphasized, "I ask that you continue to join forces so that the spirit of sharing can spread even further. The province will also work with you to provide even stronger support to those in need and realize robust welfare."
Chungnam Province ranked first nationwide last year with a per capita fundraising amount of 18,922 won (national average: 16,549 won). The total amount raised was tallied at 40.4 billion won.
