Korea Citibank, as part of its 'Global Community Day (GCD)' activities, held a volunteer event on June 25 at the Korea Citibank headquarters in Jongno, Seoul, together with the Senior Welfare Center for the Elderly Living Alone. The event involved creating care packages of food and daily necessities to support national veterans living in vulnerable housing conditions.
The approximately 220 care packages assembled by volunteers on this day will be delivered to senior national veterans through the Senior Welfare Center for the Elderly Living Alone. The activity was particularly meaningful as June 25 marks the anniversary of the Korean War, a day to honor the sacrifices of national veterans who served the country. Earlier this year, Korea Citibank donated 300 million won to support projects for national veterans.
Citigroup is celebrating the 20th anniversary of 'Global Community Day' this year, and continues to carry out meaningful sharing activities in communities around the world.
