Daejeon City to Recruit 1,015 for Second Round of Lifelong Education Voucher... 350,000 Won Support per Person

The Daejeon city government announced that it will recruit 1,015 recipients for the second round of the "Lifelong Education Voucher" program, which aims to expand citizens' participation in lifelong learning and bridge educational gaps.


The second round of recruitment consists of: ▲General category (561 recipients from low-income groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and those in the next lower income bracket) ▲Digital category (254 adults aged 30 and above) ▲Senior category (200 adults aged 65 and above).


Applications can be submitted through the Daejeon Lifelong Education Voucher website from June 26 to July 10.


Those selected as recipients will receive points worth 350,000 won per person on an NH Nonghyup Chaeum Card. These points can be used for lifelong education course fees and textbook costs.


Learners can take a variety of courses in fields such as certification, entrepreneurship, language, humanities, and AI·digital at vocational training centers, lifelong education facilities, and lifelong vocational education academies.


Those who are recipients of national scholarships are not eligible to apply. The digital category vouchers can only be used at certain institutions, such as computer training academies or online academies that offer computer courses.


Koh Hyunduk, Director of the Daejeon Education Policy Strategy Bureau, stated, "We hope that the Lifelong Education Voucher will help citizens achieve self-realization and strengthen their capabilities," and added, "We will continue to pursue policies to promote the development of citizens and improve their quality of life."


Meanwhile, in the first round of recruitment held in April, 1,641 people applied, and 1,573 were selected as recipients?excluding those with overlapping national scholarship benefits?and have been using the vouchers since May.
