Presiding Over First Half Key Issues Briefing... Reviewing Core Projects Such as Emergency Medical Services, Tourism Development, and Industrial Complex Construction
"Solving Problems Through Interdepartmental Cooperation and Information Sharing... Proactive Administration Needed for Sustainable Cheongyang"
Kim Donggon, Cheongyang County Governor, called on all departments to engage in proactive administration, stating, "As we are at a crucial point in the second half of the 8th popularly elected term, we must ensure that residents can truly feel the changes and achievements by completing all pending projects without any setbacks."
According to the county on June 26, Governor Kim presided over the "2025 First Half Key Issues Briefing" held in the main conference room of Cheongyang County Office on June 25. Together with more than 50 department heads, he reviewed the progress of core projects, discussed solutions to identified problems, and deliberated on future strategies.
This briefing was not a simple reporting session but involved in-depth reviews of core tasks for each department, including: ▲ efficient fiscal management for 2026 ▲ operation of Cheongyang Agricultural Cooperative Corporation and establishment of a smart APC ▲ advancement of the Cheongyang-style multi-care system ▲ expansion of emergency medical infrastructure ▲ development of a general industrial complex ▲ tourism development at Chilgaph Lake ▲ expansion of metropolitan and local water supply networks.
Governor Kim continued with detailed questions about each department's report, emphasizing, "For projects where problems have been identified, departments must share information and cooperate to derive rational improvement measures and ensure timely implementation."
He further requested, "Since the second half of the 8th term is a decisive period for making the county government's achievements visible, I urge all departments to work with a sense of responsibility and drive Cheongyang's sustainable growth."
Based on the discussions from this briefing, the county plans to comprehensively reassess project efficiency and accelerate the implementation of key focus and pending projects.
Meanwhile, since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, Cheongyang County has achieved the highest rating in the evaluation of pledge fulfillment. The county is also making every effort to secure new national and provincial funding projects and attract competitive projects for next year's government budget. It is being recognized for maintaining a trustworthy administration through efficient fiscal management and the fulfillment of its pledges.
