Gyeongbuk Province and the Gyeongbuk Cultural Tourism Organization (President Kim Namil) announced that they participated in the "2025 Philippine MICE Roadshow," hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization from June 24 to June 26 in Manila and Cebu, Philippines. At the event, they actively promoted Gyeongbuk's outstanding MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) facilities and tourism resources, and worked to lay the groundwork for attracting international conferences in the post-APEC era.
This roadshow consisted of B2B (business-to-business) meetings connecting MICE professionals from Korea and the Philippines, as well as a Korea tourism briefing session. The events were held at the Fairmont Makati in Manila and the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu, respectively.
Gyeongbuk Cultural Tourism Organization is promoting excellent tourism resources by operating consultation tables at the "Philippine MICE Roadshow."
Gyeongbuk focused on introducing its MICE infrastructure and various support systems to approximately 300 local travel agencies, airlines, and corporate representatives from the Philippines.
In addition, Gyeongbuk promoted specialized tourism content that is popular locally, such as filming locations for Korean dramas, and showcased the region's signature performance content, "Infinity Flying," to vividly convey Gyeongbuk's appeal to participants on site.
In particular, through this participation, Gyeongbuk aims to strengthen its regional MICE capabilities and enhance its global competitiveness with the goal of attracting international conferences in the post-APEC era. To achieve this, the province plans to actively build close networks with local stakeholders and establish ongoing cooperation channels.
President Kim Namil stated, "By participating in the Philippine MICE Roadshow, we aim to elevate Gyeongbuk's status in the Southeast Asian MICE market. We expect this to serve as an opportunity to attract future international conferences and strengthen our global network," expressing his commitment to active engagement.
