The Chungnam Provincial Council's "Research Group for the Organization of Young Fisheries Professionals" held its second meeting at the Chungcheongnam-do Government Vessel Management Office on the afternoon of June 24, and decided to actively promote the formation of the "Chungnam Youth Fisheries Association."

At the meeting, young fisheries professionals from Boryeong and Seocheon participated, providing an overview of current youth fisheries policies and discussing plans to establish the "Chungnam Youth Fisheries Association."

They also held a roundtable to discuss ways to enhance the effectiveness of youth fisheries policies in Chungnam and the need to expand field-oriented support.

The young fisheries professionals stated, "In Gyeongnam, the Youth Fisheries Association has already been launched and serves as a direct communication channel with the local government," adding, "It is urgent to form a youth fisheries organization in Chungnam as well."

Shin Youngho, head of the research group and council member (Seocheon 2, People Power Party), said, "In order for young fisheries professionals to settle stably and lead a sustainable fisheries industry, the formation of an association is essential," adding, "We will spare no policy support to provide practical backing for young fisheries professionals through the launch of the association."
